Jobs Americans won’t do?

I’ve often wondered why there were so many kids from Europe and South America working at ski resorts. Now I know why–it’s so the resorts can skimp on wages, often to the point of running sweatshops.  It’s like the whole work visa situation (not to mention illegal immigration) was just some gigantic scam, meant to benefit fat-cat businessmen and exclude Americans looking for work.
