No wonder I stopped listening to this dimwit

CBS is going to let their bets ride on Kate Couric until they’ve lost all their shirts.

That’s why Couric has spent recent weeks in Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston and New Brunswick, New Jersey. She is touring what she calls “this great unwashed middle of the country” in an effort to divine the mood of the midterms.

Couric was struck by Scott Barclay, a marketing director in Philadelphia, who told her: “When I look at the political situation now, all I really see is that the Democrats are against the Republicans, the Republicans are against the Democrats, and no one’s really for America.”

Gee, that’s funny.  Down here in Unwashed Jesusland, we work hard with our local officials, Democrat and Republican, to solve common problems in ways that are economical and mindful of our rights as citizens.  Maybe it’s the folks in Philly who need washing.  Or do they need WashingTON?
