Can you say “whitewash?”

How convenient.  Just in time for Fall Pledge Week, NPR is restricting its employees from attending political rallies.  Mustn’t get caught publicly supporting any lame-ass progressives, dontcha know.  Slanting coverage is still OK though.

Update (21 October).  The NPR-ness of it all continues with the firing of Juan Williams.  If this perennial thumbsucker is too outspoken for NPR, I don’t want to listen!

Update (22 October). “We’re profoundly sorry that this happened during fundraising week.”  …but Juan was gettin’ to be just a little too uppity for NPR.
