All the Kool Kid Scientists are hoping the Obama administration will restore their influence. "The idea of putting ideology into decisions about science — that has really denigrated the role of science,"  Yeah, because these geniuses come up with stuff like this:  "Elimination of candy cigarettes may protect children from products that promote the social acceptability of smoking."
