Palin Derangement Syndrome

As I expected, John McCain’s selection of Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate is making Blue America’s collective heads explode.  The Anchoress sums it all up in one devastating post: "Palin: Bad Mother, Bad Woman".

Update (31 August). Jeff Jacoby gives a nicely balanced summary of the pick, but misses  two key points. Gov. Palin reinforces (hell, outshines) McCain’s reputation as a reformer, and  was the only VP candidate who could match McCain in something he thinks is viscerally important:  like McCain, Palin has a son who’s being deployed to Iraq.
