Am I the only one who thinks this is a really BAD idea?

Perhaps I’m being excitable again, but how can human-animal hybrid embryos lead to anything but tragedy on a Homeric level?  Somehow this statement doesn’t reassure me:  "… it’s illegal to ever turn these cells into a living being."  It’s illegal for minors to drink beer outside their homes too, but somehow, it happens.  We’re going to be very unhappy with the results.
