Ever since 9/11, military bases have been closed to the public, have 100% ID checks at all gates, and have beefed up base security. Once in a while, dependents and GIs, active and retired, grumble about it. Read this, and stop complaining.
Notice also that the conspirators were not dispossessed Tibetans, marginalized Native Americans, patriarchically oppressed women, Christianist militants, disenfranchised migrant workers, or Haitian boat people.
