Give me your poor, your tired, your golfers…

Thomas Sowell blows the whistle on San Francisco’s efforts to help the poor: "…the poor are in effect being used as human shields in the political
wars over government spending, which extends far beyond anyone who
could even plausibly be called poor." Apparently the city used "$16.6 million from state bond funds meant for recreation and park projects in underserved and economically disadvantaged areas" to fund a $23 million upgrade of the municipal golf courses. I knew there was another reason not to like golfers. (OK, there’s one golfer I admire.  This guy plays in the rain, in the dark, anywhere, any time.  And even he hates other golfers.)
