Like with most Unbelievable Good Deals, Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s proposed ethics reforms seem to be coming with a catch: The Honest Leadership and Open Government Act of 2006. Apparently McCain-Feingold didn’t restrict free speech enough, so the Democrats want to close the remaining loopholes by shutting up the little guys. I think we’re going to get tired of these people even quicker than we got tired of the Republicans.
