More classic papers — this time a set of classics in biostatistics, the famous British Doctors Survey:
- R. Doll and A.B. Hill, "The mortality of doctors in relation to their smoking habits: a preliminary report,", British Medical Journal, 1954:ii;1451-5.
- four more articles in BMJ, 1956, 1964, 1976, and 1994 (full text is not yet online for these)
- R. Doll, R. Peto, J. Boreham, I. Sutherland, "Mortality in relation to smoking: 50 years’ observations on male British doctors." British Medical Journal, 2004 June 26; 328(7455): 1519. [BMJ, doi:10.1136/bmj.38142.554479.AE (published 22 June 2004)]
I’ve used some of the data from this survey to illustrate Poisson regression; if I can "de-summarize" it, the data would be great for a survival analysis assignment.
