Tea

Thursday, September 28, marked the third week that the department has held its regular 3-5pm faculty "tea," and each time has been a resounding success.  Our department chairman, Dr. Nandini Kannan, had been advocating a regular tea for the past two years, but it was a strong push from Dr. Daijin Ko, who missed his regular teas from his former university, that got faculty support.  Our new department secretary, Kim Kyle, is a nut about doing things out of the ordinary, and her excellent support has made the teas a big hit.

Now I read about teas as part of the residential college concept, and already I’m wondering if we need a bigger room, so we can get all our students to show up as well…
