Australian researchers have found evidence that cell phone use affects brain function.
They say reaction time is slowed, while short-term memory
improves. So you’ll remember the license number of that car you
ran into.

If those Aussies would just walk around campus for a couple of days, they’d come out with a stronger statement: prolonged cell phone use makes you STOOPID.

Tip from the Drudge Report. who never permalinks a frookin’ thing.

Update (28 April): vanderLeun weighs in with his observations from Seattle, that starts off

YES, IT’S TRUE. That idiot at the wheel jabbering into the cell phone really is out to kill himself and you in the bargain.

and wraps up with

I like that part about the memory improving. Perhaps it will help them
remember the intense pain on their way to the hospital or, better yet,
some new fresh hell where their ringtone for all eternity will be "Bang
a Gong."

with plenty in between. Plus a cool new logo.

Update (29 April). So the Mrs and I made our annual pilgrimage to the St. Mary’s University Fiesta Jazz Festival to hear Danilo Perez–fantastic! But during the performance, some airhead chick two seats down is jabbering on her franken’ cell phone. Cell phones make you RUDE and STUPID.
