Buy Danish, Texas-Style

Time to stand up for our friends in Denmark and Norway. A few months ago, a Danish newspaper published this:

and now that the West is putting the squeeze on the Iranians for their
nukes, the cartoons are being used as a pretext for this:

as well as violence against Danish and
Norwegian citizens, and a boycott of Danish and Norwegian products.
The cartoonists who did the original drawings have been forced into hiding. Wow! talk about folks who can dish it out, but can’t take it!

Many bloogers–including me–think that the West can counter the boycott with a program of postive support, so

In San Antonio, you can do your bit by shopping at Sun Harvest Markets for King’s Choice cheeses (Havarti and Fontina) from Denmark, and Ski Queen Geitost cheese from Norway.

I’m still looking for other Danish and Norwegian goodies to stock the pantry, so stay tuned.

Update (5 February): I’d forgotten all about the bottle of Cherry Kijafa in my liquor cabinet. Makes a great cooler on the rocks with ginger ale!
